Conor White and Olympian Erica Hawley braved challenging conditions to claim victory in the Bermuda Bicycle Association's Presidents Cup Cycling Road Race.
Despite blustery winds that tested the riders' resolve, White emerged triumphant in the Men's Division, edging out Nicholas Narraway and another Olympian Tyler Smith in a thrilling sprint finish. White crossed the line in 2:21:41, with Narraway (2:21:44) and Smith (2:21:44) hot on his heels.
Hawley showcased her impressive endurance and determination, finishing 12th overall to secure the Open Women's title in a time of 2:35:27. Charlotte Millington claimed the Junior Women's Division, finishing 13th overall with the same time as Hawley.
In the Junior Men's category, Ollie Hayward delivered a strong performance to take the title, finishing sixth overall in 2:32:23. Jens Drea secured second place in the division with a time of 2:41:36 (19th overall), while Dylan Eiselt rounded out the podium in 2:46:02 (21st overall).
The Presidents Cup road race proved to be a true test of skill and resilience, with riders battling not only each other but also the challenging weather conditions. White, Hawley, Hayward, and Millington emerged as worthy champions, demonstrating their strength and determination in the face of adversity.
