It was the tale of two halves in Pocatello, and unfortunately for David Patrick and his Sacramento State Men’s Basketball team they dug themselves too large a hole in an eventual 65 - 61 defeat at Idaho State.
Seemingly everything went right for Idaho State in a first half that saw them outscore Sacramento State, 45-22. That marked Sacramento State’s largest halftime deficit of the season, and Idaho State couldn't miss.
Idaho State made 12 of their first 15 shots from the field (including 5-for-7 3-balls), and at one point, converted 11 straight shots from the field. By the time the half concluded, Sacramento State had allowed their fourth most points in a half this year, and two Bengals had already scored more points than their season averages.
