Mical Hardtman and his University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer teammates ended its 2020-21 regular-season home schedule with a 3-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over visiting University of Missouri-St. Louis at Strassweg Field. The University of Southern Indiana got a goal in the 28th minute to take a 1-0 halftime lead, then piled on to their lead with goals in the 70th and 81st minutes to raise their cushion to 3-0. Missouri-St. Louis got on the scoreboard in the 83rd minute, but the University of Southern Indiana's defense held them without a shot for the final seven minutes of the contest to preserve the win. Senior forward Graham Miller scored off a pass from sophomore forward Zach Barton in the 28th minute to put the University of Southern Indiana up, 1-0. Barton used passes from freshman defender Hardtman and junior defender Josef Winkler to find the back of the net in the 70th minute and give the University of Southern Indiana a 2-0 lead. Sophomore midfielder Brian Winkler converted a pass from freshman midfielder Cade Walsh into a goal to put the University of Southern Indiana up 3-0 with just under 10 minutes to play. Between the posts, senior goalkeeper Justin Faas picked up the win after giving up just one goal and racking up five saves. The two teams each had 16 shots, but the University of Southern Indiana outpaced Missouri-St. Louis, 11-7, in shots on goal despite Missouri-St. Louis holding an 8-1 edge in corner kicks.
