Brangman in Blue
Chae Brangman and his Rhode Island Menís Soccer teammates broke its 234:25 scoring drought in their 2 - 1 win over Boston College.
The drought ended when a 38th-minute goal by Niklas Middrup put them on top 1-0. Peder Kristiansen and Emil Jesman Sunde were credited with assists on the play as Kristiansen served a corner kick into the box, where Jesman Sunde skipped the ball to Middrup for the finish.
The lead was doubled in the 59th minute when Brangman buried a shot off a setup from Stavros Zarokostas and Joey Cain.
Ten minutes later, Boston College cut it to 2-1, but they were unable to find the back of the net again after Luna Beto's goal.
Meanwhile Brookhaven Collegeís Deshae Darrell followed up her Player of the Week award by contributing to the 2-0 victory in a Conference game against Mountain View College. Darrell took the corner that fell to defender and captain Brenda Hernandez to open the scoring for Brookhaven College.
Darrellís fine form then continued when she opened the scoring in a hard fought 4-3 victory against D1 Region opponent Angelina College in Lufkin, TX.
Midfielder Corrina Ortiz played a beautiful through ball for Darrell to run onto and calmly slot the ball home.
Brookhaven College has now won 4 games in a row and Darrell has contributed 4 goals and 2 assists those games.
