Bermuda were down 1 - 0 at the half of their CONCACAF Championship opener against Trinidad in Costa Rica. Trinidad took a lead in the 23rd minute when Kathon St. Hillaire scored.
Bermuda would draw level in the 69th minute when a long ball from the midfield was played over the top, substitute Jaz Rattery-Smith was quickest to the ball and flicked it over a advancing Trinidad goalkeeper Montel Joseph, the ball took a deflection and fell to the feet of Oneko Lowe who was able to finish from close range.
Neither team managed to beat the opposing goalkeeper again resulting in a 1 – 1 draw.
