Bermudian Archers Prepare for Showdown at Classic

The National Archery Association of Bermuda's indoor season continued with a strong showing from local archers, as they prepared for a major competition on the East Coast of the United States.

Nine archers competed across various divisions, demonstrating their skills and precision at the indoor range.

In the Recurve Juniors Division, Braeden Fraser was the sole competitor, scoring 465 out of 660 points at 18 meters on a 40cm target.

Robin Selley topped the Recurve Female Amateur Division with 529 points, followed by N'Dera Smith (477 points) and Elektra Smith (409 points).

Jamie Fraser claimed victory in the Recurve Men Amateur Division with 501 points, edging out Robert O'Connor (496 points).

William Pickering dominated the Compound Men Amateur Division, achieving a score of 600 points out of 660..

Camerin Pickering secured first place in the Recurve Men Elite Division with 571 points, while Jaydon Roberts finished second with 562 points.

These archers are now setting their sights on the prestigious Lancaster Archery Classic and the Easton Youth & Collegiate Trophy Tournament, taking place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from January 23rd to 26th.

A strong contingent of nine Bermudian archers will be making the trip to compete against over 3,000 archers from across the globe.

In the Lancaster Archery Classic, Camerin Pickering, Jaydon Roberts, Bernard Wade, and Jamie Fraser will compete in the Men's Olympic Recurve Division, while William Pickering will participate in the Masters Men Compound Division. Robin Selley, N'Dera Smith, and Elektra Smith will represent Bermuda in the Women's Olympic Recurve Division.

The Easton Youth & Collegiate Trophy Tournament will see Selley compete in the Cadet Female Recurve Division, Braeden Fraser in the Bowman Men's Recurve Division, N'Dera and Elektra Smith in the Junior Women's Recurve Division, and Jaydon Roberts in the Junior Men's Recurve Division.

The Lancaster Archery Classic boasts an exciting format, with a 60-arrow qualification round followed by head-to-head matches culminating in a grand finale where every finalist has a chance to claim the top prize. This event provides a valuable opportunity for Bermudian archers to test their skills against top international competition and gain valuable experience on a grand stage.
