A force behind his team's 4-0 season start, University of Omaha's Arnezha Astwood is their ‘first Summit League Peak Defensive Performer of the Week honoree for 2024.
The senior from Warwick, Bermuda anchored a University of Omaha defense which posted back to back clean sheets in the past week. In the two matches, Omaha allowed only ten shots on goal in 1-0 wins over San Francisco and Loyola Chicago.
In the Loyola Chicago match Astwood chipped in on offense with a strong goal in the 40th minute, his first since his freshman season and second career goal.
An experienced physical presence in the back, Astwood has helped his team to the school's first 4-0 start since 2017 and the second longest home win streak in school history (3).
