The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Another historic moment for the Bermuda Football Association Referees Committee.
Amaury Majors has become the first Bermudian Referee to graduate from the CONCACAF Referee Academy.
This is a testament to his hard, self-belief, determination, and above all commitment.
Chairman of Referee's for the Bermuda Football Association, Crenstant Williams said, “I remember in 2022 when you came back from the Dallas Cup and told me you wanted to be a center referee instead of an assistant as CONCACAF needs referees.
I had to adjust my strategic plan and zip my lips which everyone knows was not an easy task.
You had to then take a year off to complete your certifications as a firefighter but you told me, “Don’t worry, I got this.” I’m learning to trust the process as everything happens in its time.
I would like to express my gratitude to the CONCACAF family: Dianne Ferreira-James Thobourne Rohan Dave Meikle Kelesha Antoine Mark Cahen Allan Brown Morgan, Esse Baharmast, Peter Prendergast, Stewarte Lance Valhaitsma and Dane Parchment.
Huge thanks to the Bermuda support system: Candy Ford Williams, Vance Brown, Mark Wade, Shannon Burgess, Llewka' L Richards, Melzy Melz Seymour, Calvin Blankendal, Charryse Bean, Jekon Edness, Manny Faria, China Nesbitt, Lloyd Christopher, Larry Mussenden, C. Anthony Francis, Aaron Denkins and Ray Jones.”
