Bermuda Shafted By FIBA Officials Minutes Before Game
Bermuda continued competing in the FIBA AmeriCup 2021 Caribbean Pre- Qualifiers in Paramaribo, Suriname.

But Bermuda have been targeted by officials as four Bermuda born players were not allowed to take to the court for game Two leaving the team with just 6 active players.

Seven minutes before the match was due to start, officials from FIBA informed the Bermuda team officials that four Bermuda players did not have a FIBA number so they were not going to be allowed to play although they did play in the opening game.

Bermuda fell 87 – 78 to Barbados, Bermuda would lead 15 - 8 at the end of the first period, Bermuda and Barbados would both score 23 points in the second period to go to the break with Bermuda leading 38 – 31. Bermuda would score 19 third period points, but Barbados would score 31, Bermuda would go into the final period down by five 62 – 57, in the final period Barbados would score 25 points and Bermuda could only manage 21.

Chris Crumpler led Bermuda in the scoring department with a game high 33 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. Jason Lowe added 23 points, while Te’jour Riley scored 12 points off the bench.
