3x Pan American Games medalist, Masters World Record Holder and Chief Motivation Officer & Head Coach of TheSwimLife.co Lisa Blackburn announced the an International Women’s Day Swim Clinic event.

The event has special guest Ashley Yearwood, 2x Division III Champion and Certified Swim Coach, Panzy Oleander, Triathlete and Certified CrossFit coach, Jasmine Furbert, Owner VRY Yoga, and Taeya Dent – Taeya Dent Media.

The goal is to inspire, motivate and empower female athletes in Bermuda, for girls only, aged 9-15, hosted at the Bermuda National Sports Center.

Attendees will learn swimming skills and drills for all 4 competitive swim strokes from 2 retired Bermudian Elite Athletes and professional swimmers for Bermuda. They have both represented Bermuda at championships throughout the region, the United States and around the world, bringing back medals from several international events. They are passionate about giving back and inspiring the next generation of Bermuda’s young athletes. They look forward to sharing their experiences, knowledge, and tips and tricks for peak performance and how to “be your best” both in and out of the pool.

Oleander will speak about the importance of strength training. She will also highlight the importance of versatility and how being a well-rounded athlete and person will contribute to success in any sport or life endeavor.

Furbert will lead a yoga flow and visualization session that focuses on the importance of flexibility, distraction control and learning to trust the “flow” in any moment.

Dent is the event photographer. She will capture special moments throughout the day of our participants and role models working together to inspire inclusion with the next generation of female athletes.

Organizers would appreciate any business partners and/or sponsors for the event. If you would like to support or make a donation to the gift bag, please contact Lisa directly. Thank you.
