The 2017/18 Swimming Season is fast approaching and the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association has put things in place to ensure that the athletes perform at a high standard.
Ben Smith the National Swimming Coach said, “We have raised the Standard for events so that we can move to the next stage, we just don’t want to compete anymore we want to get into finals and even podium.”
Smith went on to say, “A new event is set to take place in the New Year which would see Caribbean swimmers go up against South American Swimmers in a Meet”.
When asked about Rebecca Heyliger’s future Smith stated, “We are in talks with Heyliger as she has indicated she is thinking about retiring from International competition, but we are still early in talks and we should have more in the coming weeks.”
