Blackburn Captures 4 Gold Medals in Championships

Lisa Blackburn stood on top of the podium four times in the Women’s 45 – 49 Age Group during the US Masters National Swimming Championships in Portland, Oregon.

Blackburn clocked a time of 1:16.23 during the Women’s 100 LC Meter Breaststroke Final.

She then won a Gold Medal during the Women’s 50 LC Meter Breaststroke touching the wall in 35.18.

During the Women’s 50 LC Meter Freestyle, Blackburn stopped the clock in 27.61 capturing her third Gold medal of the event.

Blackburn closed out the meet winning the Women’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle Gold Medal with a time of 1:01.13.

On her Social Media page Blackburn said, “Thanks everyone for your support! I have to be honest and say that it was a hard weekend because I obviously wanted to be racing at the Olympics in Rio. Reading your comments and seeing your support makes me realize that there are friends who care about how I'm doing and that I do continue to swim. Knowing that what I am doing is inspiring other people to be their best just made my day! Thank you!!! Sometimes it really is not about the results but about the journey....I am blessed.”
