The Bermuda National Athletics Association announced they now have 19 athletes who will make up the 2019 Carifta Games team as Kiara Francis met the Qualifying Standard in her first Outdoor Track Meet of the season.
Francis competed in the Notts Spring Spruce Open Meet at the Harvey Hadden Stadium in Nottingham. When Francis is in Bermuda she trains with Coach Terry Lynn Paynter and she had no doubt that Francis was going to Meet the Standard.
Francis finished second as she tossed the Shot Put a distance of 12.00m with the Qualification Distance for the Under 20 Girls set at 11.90m.
