Bermuda Five Represent Thomas College on the Track

Five Bermuda Student athletes represented the Thomas College Track & Field Men's and Women's teams at Colby College.
Yontz Sutton and the Men won the event, while Jauna James, Jada Samuels, Cyndee Todd and Taznae Fubler competed in the Women’s team that finished second.
Todd finished 3rd competing in the Women’s Weight Throw with a top toss of 6.69m or 21 feet 11.50 inches. Fubler would finish 2nd competing in the Women’s Shot Put with a top toss of 9.79m or 32 feet 1.50 inches and Todd finished 6th with a toss of 9.28m or 30 feet 5.50 inches.
Fubler would finish 8th in the Women’s 60 Meter Dash Preliminaries with a time of 9.13, Fubler would go even faster in the Women’s 60 Meter Dash Final finishing 7th clocking 8.97.
James would finish 3rd during the Women’s 400 Meter Dash stopping the clock in 1:08.04, while Samuels finished 10th clocking 1:29.68, James would also finish 10th competing in the Women’s 200 Meter Dash recording a time of 32.26.
James would run the 2nd leg and Samuels ran the anchor leg for the Thomas College Women’s 4x400 Meter winning Relay team that clocked a time of 6:03.51.
James would run the third leg for the Thomas College Women’s 4x200 Meter Relay team that finished first with a time of 2:01.43.
Sutton would finish 4th in the Men’s Long Jump with a leap of 5.84m or 19 feet 2.00 inches, during the Men’s High Jump, Sutton would finish 3rd with a leap of 1.65m or 5 feet 5.00 inches.
Sutton finished 2nd in the Men’s Shot Put with a top toss of 11.48m or 37 feet 8.00 inches and then Sutton finished the Men’s Triple Jump in third place with a top leap of 11.93m or 39 feet 1.75 inches.
