Bermuda Track & Field athletes continued having a great Saturday as 4 athletes reached the Carifta Games Qualifying Standards.
This brings the Bermuda total to 9 athletes who have met the Standard and there is still a few more athletes knocking on the door.
Bermuda National Athletics association President Donna Raynor said, “With this being a very cold and windy at the stadium we did not think we would get qualifiers especially in the running events but we had success.”
Ryan Outerbridge clocked a Under 17 Boys 3000m time of 9:42.53 with the standard being 9:45.00, Robert Edwards would Qualify for the Under 20 Boys 5000m when he stopped the clock in a time of 16.43.33 with the standard 17:00.00 and Taylor Hines clocked 25.76 during the Under 17 Girls 200m with the standard being 26.00.
Johndell Cumberbatch bettered his qualifying time from last week in the Under 20 Men's 5000m clocking a time of 16:37.48.
Brianna Mendes who is in school in Canada competed at a Meet at Mcgill University and reached the Women’s 3000m Open Standard with a time of 11:00.74 with the standard being 11:15.00.
