The Bermuda National Athletics Association hosted a Track Meet at the National Sports Center.
The Meet was a treat as it saw Carifta Bronze Medalist Tiara Derosa compete on home soil for the first time since heading off to Shaw University.
Derosa’s University coach Nadia Alexander-Pompey is on island to she how her athlete was going to perform, she was also using the trip to scout more local talent.
Derosa won both the Under 20 Girls Discus and Shot Putt, she threw the Discus 42.80m and the Shot Putt went 11.92m.
The Meet was also an opportunity for some athletes to prepare for the NACAC Age Group Championships in Trinidad.
Za'kayza Parsons won the Under 17 Girls 60 Meter Hurdles clocking 11.03, Selah Tuzo finished second in a time of 13.65.
The Under 17 Girls 800 Meter Run was won by Mikaela Outerbridge who clocked 2:27.78, Kyasia Simmons was second in 2:45.64 and Chyna Donawa finished third stopping the clock in a time of 2:52.25.
Zekiah Lewis won the Under 17 Girls Long Jump with a top leap of 5.12m, Parsons was second leaping 4.84m and Kanzi Emery finished third with a top leap of 4.75m and Sakari Famous had a top leap of 1.75m on her way to winning the Under 20 Girls High Jump.
Jaelyn Grant was clocked at 1:05.13 on his way to winning the Under 13 Boys 400 Meter Dash, Nayan Grant was second clocking 1:10.67 and Lakai Drummond finished third in 1:11.74.
Clevonte Lodge won the Under 17 Boys 200 Meter Dash with a time of 23.26, Chayse Tanner was second in 26.20 and John Dickinson finished third in 28.73. The Under 17 Boys 1500 Meter Run was won by Ryan Outerbridge who was clocked at 4:30.12.
