Other than Taahira Butterfield who www.islandstats.com covered, more Bermuda National Athletics Association athletes have had an active weekend and looking forward to another one this coming weekend.
Jah-Nhai Perinchief and his Iowa Central Men’s Track and Field teammates placed 1st overall in the NJCA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Perinchief had a good weekend placing 2nd in the High Jump with a leap of 2.15m which was the same height for the top 3 but scoring back Perinchief had one knock down therefore placing him 2nd overall. In the Triple Jump Perinchief placed 3rd overall with a leap of 15.55m with the winning leap of 15.70m.
Lamont Marshall competed in the NACAC Cross Country Championships and placed 12th overall out of 27 runners in a time of 23:59.56. Marsahall's goal was to run under 24 has he continues his trek towards qualifying in the steeplechase for the World Outdoor Championships.
