Tyler Butterfield announced he will miss the 2018 Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby.
Butterfield stated to www.islandstats.com, “There is a big likelihood I will not race, my calf is not good.”
Butterfield went on to say, “I’m supposed to race a Half Ironman the next weekend, which I will try, because the Swim and Bike will be fine, and I will try the Run.”
“I feel bad I will miss the race, it is such a cool race to do. The spectators are amazing, it is one of if not, my favorite race,” continued Butterfield.
Butterfield concluded, “The year has just caught up with me, I’ve already done 2 Marathons and now training for 1/2 and Full Ironman’s, the body is just pushing back a little.”
