IslandStats.com
The fourth day of competition at the 2024 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy in Majorca, Spain, was graced with favorable sailing conditions.

Winds fluctuating between 7 to 12 knots facilitated the addition of three new races across all three fleets, bringing the total to eight.

The day witnessed a mix of highs and lows within the fleets, resulting in some shifts at the top of the championships standings.

Bermuda’s Sebastian Kempe is competing in the ILCA 7 Fleet that sees, German sailor Ole Schweckendiek maintaining his lead in the boy’s championship, although a significant discard now requires him to proceed cautiously in the coming days. French sailor Lorenzo Mayer had a consistently strong performance today, securing second place and now trailing the leader by 11 points.

Italian sailor Enrico Tanferna achieved three good results today and climbed to the third place overall, tied with Lorenzo in 61 points.

Kempe made a huge leap up the leaderboard coming off the water in 22nd place overall with 137 Net Points, this after finishing the first race of the day and the 6th of the series in 4th place, he would then finish 28th in the second race of the day, before crossing the line 38th in the final race of the day.
