After 10 races in the Gold Fleet of the 2017 Forward Sailing New Zealand O’pen Cup, Bermuda Sailor Azhai Smith continues to lead the Fleet.
Smith currently leads in the Gold Fleet with 25 Net Points, Smith finished 3rd in the first race of the day and the seventh of the series, before winning the next race.
Smith then finished the next two races 11th and 8th, the first time he finished outside the top three.
With sailors allowed to drop two results, Smith holds a 10 point Net lead heading into the final day.
Meanwhile the other Bermuda sailor Christopher Raymond who after Day One was leading the Silver Fleet remains in the position as they did not take to the water for Day Two.
