Burnley manager Sean Dyche has responded to a question from www.islandstats.com in reference to Nahki Wells not playing this weekend.
www.islandstats.com did not report that Well was not in the Burnley Under 23 team that drew 3 – 3 with Huddersfield Town yesterday, with us not reporting it, it did not make other press.
We noticed and reported that Wells was not in the Burnley First team for their Saturday match against Southampton, and as we indicated he was not in the team yesterday.
www.islandstats.com asked Dyche about an update on Wells, to which he responded, “Nahki is well, he is just continuing his rehab over the International break.”
Dyche also mentioned that “Wells could be in the squad that will face Swansea on November 18th at Turf Moor.
Wells is coming off a hat-trick against Colchester’s Under 23 team.
