www.islandstats.com can reveal that Caribbean Football Union Officials along with officials from the National Sports Center and the Bermuda Football Association met at the National Sports Center North Field looking to discuss the possibility of Bermuda hosting their CFU Caribbean Cup match against the Dominican Republic on June 4th at the North Field.
Although no information was forthcoming from Bermuda Football Association officials regarding the CFU Official being in Bermuda, it is clear to see by the video coverage that provisions are attempted to be made for the match to be played at the North Field.
It was on Sunday May 15th that the Bermuda Football Association General Secretary David Sabir released a statement, which indicated Bermuda has a maximum of seven (7) days (May 19th) in which to officially provide, in writing to the CFU Secretariat an alternate neutral venue for the match on June 4th.
www.islandstats.com will not be assume that the match will not be played in Bermuda like others until that Bermuda Football Association make that announcement.
We await the Bermuda Football Association’s Press Conference to update the Media and the Public as to when, where and what time the match will be played.
