Sunderland Considering a Move for Nahki Wells

IslandStats.com
A day after Huddersfield Town Manager David Wagner is hoping to keep all his key players and strengthen the team news comes that Premier League outfit Sunderland are considering a move for Huddersfield Town striker Nahki Wells, according to reports.

In typical fashion, Sunderland managed to pull off their customary end of season survival in the Premier League following a comfortable 3-0 victory over Everton on Wednesday night and it is quite remarkable how the Black Cats have managed to survive.

Manager Sam Allardyce certainly deserves a lot of credit for turning things around at the Stadium of Light and the 61-year old has now stated that he is keen on the Wearside based outfit avoiding another turbulent campaign next term.

In order to avoid such a difficult season though, Allardyce will surely have to strengthen his squad over the summer and a number of players have already started being linked with a move to Sunderland.

Now according to reports emerging out of England, claims have been made that Sunderland are considering bolstering their attacking lineup with the signing of Huddersfield Town star Nakhi Wells.

Wells has been one of the most prolific strikers in the Championship this season, scoring 18 times and his exploits have not gone unnoticed by a number of Premier League clubs.

Sunderland have been revealed as one of the keen admirers of Wells and it is believed that Allardyce has instructed the board to place a bid for the 25-year old this summer.
