Current Stats & Standings & BFA Award Points to Eagles

Following the First Division matches over the weekend, www.islandstats.com now brings you the current Standings and Leading Goalscorers in both Divisions.

Meanwhile the Bermuda Football Association’s Competitions Committee have deliberated over the reports submitted regarding the match between Somerset Eagles and St. David’s at White Hill Field on Sunday, March 6th and the applicable rules noted below.

The committee have concluded that the match be deemed a forfeit by St. David’s and award Somerset Bridge with a 3-0 result. The Committee is not inclined to impose a fine.

First Division

Flanagan’s Onions remain the First Division following their come from behind 4 -2 win over X-Road’s, they have 36 points, Somerset Eagles with the announcement from the Bermuda Football Associations Competitions Committee moved onto 35 points, St. George’s Colts moved into third place with 29 points following their 9 – 0 win over Ireland Rangers.

Nathan Rego from Somerset Eagles and Clay Darrell from the Young Men Social Club are the League Leading goalscorers with 16 goals, while Treshun Smith from Flanagan’s Onions has 13 goals on the season. Saki Tuzo from Young Men Social Club and Jarazhino Bassett from the St. George’s Colts both have 12 goals, Allan Douglas Jr. from St. David’s has 11 goals. Y-Ron Astwood from the Paget Lions is all alone on 9 goals, while Khanai Fray from Somerset Eagles, Jahkari Furbert from BAA and Lamelle Paynter from Wolves and all have 8 goals on the season thus far.

PREMIER DIVISION

The Dandy Town Hornets now have a seven point lead on top of the Premier Division with 35 points and three games to play following their 3 – 2 win over the Boulevard Blazers, Robin Hood are in second with 28 points picking up three points in their 2 – 0 win over the Devonshire Cougars, while the Boulevard Blazers remained in third place with 22 points. The Boulevard Blazers and Devonshire Cougars until these defeats were unbeaten in the League in the year 2016.

Lejuan Simmons from Robin Hood and Donavan Thompson from Hamilton Parish are the League’s leading goalscorers with 11 goals, while Tomiko Goater from the Dandy Town Hornets has 10 goals. Cecoy Robinson from the PHC Zebras and Ian Coke from Boulevard Blazers both has found the back of the net 9 times, while Casey Castle from the PHC Zebras and Angelo Simmons from the Dandy Town Hornets have 8 goals each, Antwan Russell from Robin Hood, TiaeVince Douglas from the Boulevard Blazers, Lozendro Symonds from the Devonshire Colts and Jonathan Bean from the Somerset Trojans all have 7 goals.
