NAHKI WELLS

Nahki Wells' stoppage-time penalty rescued a 2-2 draw for Huddersfield in the FA Cup third round against Reading at the John Smith's Stadium.

A dominant Huddersfield side had conceded twice in the second half to go 2-1 down, despite Jamie Paterson giving the hosts the lead before the hour.

The visitors, who had beaten Town at this very stage and venue last season, were thankful to Watford loanee Matej Vydra for a deflected equalizer on 71 minutes.

Ali Al-Habsi somehow kept Reading in the game before Hal Robson-Kanu put them ahead three minutes from the end, but Wells got his ninth of the season to force the tie into a replay.

RAI SIMONS

Rai Simons’ Chesterfield came out 3-2 winners at Rochdale to make it back-to-back wins for Danny Wilson's men in Sky Bet League One.

Late goals from Lee Novak and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, scored within two minutes of each other, put Chesterfield in control and after Gboly Ariyibi's 86th-minute dismissal they held on to claim three points despite Rhys Bennett's header during six minutes of stoppage time.

Jay O'Shea handed the visitors the lead in the 27th minute when he collected Ebanks-Blake's clever flick and wrong-footed Andy Cannon before sliding a neat finish wide of Josh Lillis.

Ebanks-Blake and Ariyibi both saw efforts ruled offside before the break and Chesterfield's frustration increased in the 58th minute when the home side equalized. Cannon's cross picked out Ian Henderson's run and he sent a diving header past Tommy Lee.

Simons watched the game from the substitute bench.

REGGIE LAMBE

Reggie Lambe and his Mansfield Town teammates pushed themselves back into the Sky Bet League Two play-off reckoning with a 2-1 win over struggling Stevenage.

Goals from Chris Clements and debutant James Baxendale capped a fine win to end a run of four without a victory for Mansfield, with Armand Gnanduillet scoring a late consolation for Stevenage.

Lambe entered the game at the half replacing Jack Thomas.

It capped a good first half for Stags which saw Clements and Westcarr go close.
