The Bermuda National team and their 2018 Russia World Cup CONCACAF First Round opponents Bahamas arrived at the LF Wade International Airport.
Both teams will be looking ahead to Sunday’s Second Leg clash at the National Sports Center.
With Bermuda in a commanding position coach Andrew Bascome is looking for his team to play a controlled match in front of the home fans, “My job is to make sure that complacency does not creep in the team, we cannot under estimate our opponents.”
When asked about how proud he was to have his son playing in a World Cup match that he coached Bascome said, “Coaching my son is challenging, because I have to be mindful of the criticism so I critique him a lot.”
Bahamas coach Dion Godet spoke about the performance last night and what he and his team need to do to get a better result in Bermuda, “We can up against a very good Bermuda team, but we are here and ready to go, although we have lost the service of two players to the Beach Soccer Tournament, we need to do a job and that is what we are here to do.”
