At the Police Field, the Somerset Trojans went ahead after just 7 minutes when Damon Swan found the back of the net. The lead was doubled in the 41st minute when Trevin Ming scored. On the stroke of half time Tahj Wade scored to give the Somerset Trojans a 3 – 0 lead at the break.
The second half saw the heat take its toll on some Hamilton Parish players with cramp being the biggest challenge, despite the challenges they managed to get back into the game with a goal off the head of MacQuille Walker in the 80th minute, but the Somerset Trojans were able to manage the game and advance to the Semi-Finals.
Flanagan’s Onion’s 0 Dandy Town Hornets 2 Already through to the next round the Dandy Town Hornets fielded an even younger squad against the Flanagan’s Onion’s who knew anything short of a 3 – 0 loss would see them advance to the Semi-Finals.
After a scoreless first half the Dandy Town Hornets finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute when Clay Darrell scored, Tomiko Goater doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead in the 89th minute as they came away with a 2 – 0 win and both teams advanced to the Semi-Finals.
