IslandStats.com
Adam Hall’s teammate Mike Boeve’s go-ahead two-run home run in the seventh proved to be the difference in an 8 - 6 win for the Biloxi Shuckers over the Rocket City Trash Pandas at Toyota Field. The win marked the fourth straight for Biloxi and clinched at least a series split against the Trash Pandas. The game also marked Biloxi’s ninth consecutive game with a home run, tied for the longest streak in the Southern League this season.

Gustavo Campero started the scoring with a leadoff home run for the Trash Pandas in the bottom of the first, giving Rocket City a 1-0 lead. Later in the inning, an RBI single from Sam Brown extended the lead to 2-0. Biloxi struck back with an RBI single from Darrien Miller in the second, but a two-run home run from Orlando Martinez gave the Trash Pandas a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the inning.

In the fourth, the Shuckers battled back with another RBI single from Darrien Miller and tied the game at four with a two-RBI double to the left-centerfield wall from Hall. In the sixth, the Trash Pandas broke the tie with a two-run home run from Caleb Hamilton, making it 6-4.

The final push from Biloxi came in the seventh with the bases loaded and no one out. A wild pitch got by the Trash Pandas’ catcher, Hamilton, and shot up the third-base line towards the Shuckers dugout, scoring two and tying the game at six. On the next pitch, Mike Boeve demolished a two-run homer to right, giving Biloxi their first lead of the night at 8-6. Eric Wagaman led off the bottom of the inning with a solo shot for Rocket City, making it 8-7.

Sam Carlson retired the Trash Pandas in order in the eighth on 10 pitches and Blake Holub worked around a single and a walk to strand the winning run at second to earn his fourth save of the season. Kaleb Bowman (4-1) earned the win for Biloxi while Brady Choban (0-1) took the loss for Rocket City.

At the plate, Darrien Miller extended his on-base streak to 17 consecutive games with a 2-for-4 performance with two RBI. Mike Boeve also tallied his 20th multi-hit game of the season since being promoted to Biloxi with a 2-for-5 night. Tonight also marked the 51st consecutive game Boeve has appeared in since his promotion, the most by any Shuckers player since at least 2021.
