Adam Hall and his Double-A Bowie Baysox teammates only scored in three innings, but, boy, did those innings count.
The Baysox posted the most runs to date in the Minors (or Majors) -- 18 with two outs -- on 16 hits in the 20 - 6 rout of Akron, using two eight-run innings and a four-run inning.
Leadoff hitter Hall was hit by a pitch in his second at-bat of the first and scored on Westburg’s double, giving Bowie eight runs scored, all with two outs.
In the second, the Baysox again loaded the bases with two outs and forced another pitching change. Maverick Handley walked to score a run, Hall brought home two with a single to center, then Handley scored on a wild pitch that walked giving Bowie an 11-run lead after two innings.
Hall singled in his third run, on a night when he went 3 for 6 from the plate, with 2 runs, 2 hits, with 3 RBI’s, Hall also was left on base twice.
