Behind strong starting pitching and early offense, Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds teammates opened up the six-game series with an 8-1 win against the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, at Maimonides Park.
No. 11 prospect Hall went 2-for-2 on the night, Hall would score a Run, he would steal his 6th base of the season, to go along with 2 walks.
Already up 1 – 0 in the top of the second inning, Hall would have a lead-off single, he would then steal 2nd, and following a Maveick Handley walk, Johnny Rizer hit his second home run of the season to bring home all three.
Hall would get his second hit of the game in the top of the seventh inning.
All would be busy in the bottom of the ninth, he would get rid of Brett Baty on a pop fly, and then he would be involved in getting Francisco Alvarez out trying to steal second.
