Due to an uptake of storms, Thursday night's Delmarva Shorebirds-Greenville Drive game at Fluor Field at the West End was suspended after four complete innings with the Shorebirds leading 4-0.
Adam Hall and his Delmarva teammates are set to resume in the top of the fifth on Friday at 4:30 p.m. with plans to complete the full nine innings. That game will be followed by a seven-inning game that will begin no earlier than 7:05.
Before the suspension, the Shorebirds again broke through in the top of the third. Zach Watson slashed a two-out double down the left field line, and Hall followed with a line drive double off the Green Monster in left, scoring Watson. Johnny Rizer then punched a single into left, and Hall slid home around a strong throw to the plate to make it 2-0 Delmarva.
In the fourth, Ryne Ogren unleashed at the first pitch and parked it over the Monster for a solo home run, his first round-tripper in a Delmarva uniform. Two batters later Seamus Curran belted his own solo blast down the right field line, his 16th of the year, putting the Shorebirds up 4-0.
