Braxton Stowe and his University of Saint Louis Men’s Baseball teammates completed the sweep over George Mason, defeating the Patriots 16-2.
Senior Cole Dubet, playing in game No. 209 in his Saint Louis career had a game and series to remember. The four-year starter went 5-5, smacking two home runs, driving in five and scoring four. For the weekend, Dubet hit .667, with two home runs, three doubles, 10 RBIs and seven runs.
Jake Garella tied SLU’s single season doubles record with No. 22 in the first inning. He hit two more later in the game, finishing 4-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored before being pulled for a pinch runner.
Cam Redding and Kevin Jordan were the two other Billikens with multi-hit games in the series finale. Redding wrapped up the afternoon 3-5 with two RBIs and one run scored. Jordan went 2-4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk.
Senior Jackson Wark took home his third win of the season, throwing 5.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five. He was pulled from the game with a 9-0 lead heading into the sixth inning.
Colin Townsend worked a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two of the three batters he faced.
Ryan Patel and Charlie Sheehan also added scoreless frames, each striking out one apiece.
