Trey Mallory began competing in El Salvador in the La Libertad International Junior Tennis Tournament.
Mallory in his First Round match would take on Adam Daun from United States of America.
Mallory suffering from flu symptoms would struggle in the game and went down in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, travelling coach Francis Dominguez said, “Mallory couldn’t even breath, and was coughing throughout the match, but he said I’m going to finish!”
“Mallory got tired after every point, he was coughing in between every point. I don’t even know how he finished,” concluded Dominguez.
Mallory would play in the Doubles alongside his partner John Chin from Jamaica.
The pair would take on Alexander Frantzis and Alexander Kotarski both from United States of America, Mallory and Chin would advance winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.
