Alexcie Burrows and her Virginia State University Women's Tennis teammates defeated Mary Baldwin 6-0 and followed that with a 5-1 victory over Virginia Union.
Burrows was the MVP over the two matches, going 2-0 in Singles matches and winning her Doubles match against Mary Baldwin. The team now moves to 2-1 in the early season and will play in the CIAA Round-Up next.
In the Doubles against Mary Baldwin, Burrows and Ashleigh Charles defeated Kelsey Bansel, and Lauren Byrnes, 6-1, 6-0, Burrows then defeated Byrnes, 6-1, 6-0.
