Visiting Florida Atlantic rallied from a 3-1 deficit to slip past Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington Men's Tennis teammates, 4 - 3, at the UNCW courts.
Despite Mallory and his partner Gabe Hurtado falling 6–2, in the number three Doubles Spot, UNCW got off to a good start by capturing the doubles point when the No. 2 team of Davide Innocenti and Reece Falck edged FAU's Carles Sarrio and Hunter Robbins, 6-4.
UNC Wilmington, playing the final leg of a five-match homestand, increased their lead to 3-1 when freshman Mallory cruised past FAU's Finn Stodder, 7-5, 6-2, before Florida Atlantic reeled off wins at No. 4, No. 3 and No. 2 singles to complete the comeback.
