Bermuda’s Under 14 Boys’ team of Zach McGuire, Tobiah Goodchild, and Johnny Bart were back in action for the third time in a Group B match at the ITF World Junior Championships Pre Qualifier in El Salvador.
The Bermuda team would pick up their first win of the tournament coming from behind defeating Puerto Rico 2 – 1.
Bart was first on the court in the number 2 Singles spot, and he fell to Amaury Blondet in straight sets 7-6, 7-5 in a match that took 2 hours and 13 minutes to complete.
McGuire then took to the court in the number 1 spot and he drew Bermuda level at 1 – 1 when he defeated Miguel Quinones 6-2, 6-1 in 1 hour and 6 minutes.
It came down to the Doubles, with Bart, and McGuire taking to the court to face off against Blondet and Fabian Caraballo, and after 1 hour and 13 minutes the Bermuda pair picked up the win 6-4, 6-2.
