High school prospect CJ Crumpler has officially landed his first name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreement, linking up with local Italian restaurant Fratelli’s in a community-centered partnership.
The deal marks a significant commercial milestone for the Grayson athlete, who highlighted the value of keeping his inaugural sponsorship close to his roots.
"Man… my first NIL deal," Crumpler said. "Just want to say thank you to DJ, my mom and dad, Chef Danny, and the entire Fratelli’s family for making this opportunity possible. It was great getting to meet Chef Danny and officially become part of the Fratelli’s family."
Commercial opportunities under NIL frameworks have increasingly filtered down to high-profile scholastic athletes looking to establish ties with neighborhood businesses, and Crumpler emphasized that community connection above all else.
"I’m super grateful for the opportunity to represent and help promote a local business right here in the Grayson community," he added. "This is where I live. This is where I play ball. This is where my family is. So it means a lot to have my first NIL partnership right here at home."
