Bermudian standout Dylan Muso and his McDaniel College teammates find themselves firmly in the hunt after a testing first round at the Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championships.
The Green Terror combined for a collective one-under-par total at the Waynesboro Country Club in Pennsylvania, a score that leaves them in third place in the team standings as the three-day tournament gets into full swing.
On the individual leaderboard, Muso produced a composed performance to end the day in a tie for 11th. Carding a one-over-par 73, the Bermudian showed maturity on a course that punished loose play, particularly during the more exposed sections of the afternoon.
Muso’s round was a study in consistency, featuring 11 pars and three birdies. While four bogeys briefly slowed his momentum, his ability to scramble and recover kept him within striking distance of the leaders.
McDaniel’s collective sub-par performance puts them in a strong position to challenge the defending champions, Gettysburg, and perennial contenders Franklin & Marshall.

With the field tightly bunched, the second round is expected to be a pivotal "moving day" for the championship. Muso is scheduled to tee off for his second round at 1:18 p.m. local time, where he will look to capitalize on his early-season form and propel McDaniel further up the leaderboard.
The Bermudian has been in fine form recently, following up a standout runner-up finish at the Elizabethtown College Spring Invitational earlier this month with another solid showing on the regional stage.
