The LSU Tigers men's basketball team, guided by Associate Head Coach David Patrick, has fallen to its first defeat of the season, succumbing to an 82-58 loss against Texas Tech in the Coast to Coast Challenge at the Dickies Arena.
The Tigers were unable to get their offense running efficiently and were severely punished by a sharp-shooting Texas Tech side. The Red Raiders were firing from long range with ease, successfully making 9-of-15 three-point attempts in the first half.
In stark contrast, LSU struggled from beyond the arc, managing to hit only 2-of-13 from distance. This disparity allowed Texas Tech to pack in their defence inside the arc, further stifling the Tigers' attack.
The loss drops LSU’s overall record to 8-1. Texas Tech, meanwhile, improves its season record to 7-2.
