The North Village Community Club have issued a statement following an incident that took place September 26th at Bernard Park
The statement reads: “Following an internal investigation, North Village Community Club confirms that disciplinary action has been taken against a player for conduct that brought the game into disrepute during the league opener at Bernard Park on September 26th between the North Village Rams and Devonshire Colts. The player has been issued a six-match suspension which is consistent with the Bermuda Football Association’s (BFA) Code of Conduct and its related sanctions guidelines.
His sanction will be suspended until the BFA has handed down its own disciplinary measures so that both sanctions may run concurrently. This approach ensures fairness and avoids the player being penalized twice for the same incident.
The player has expressed genuine remorse for his actions, and all parties are committed to put this matter behind them and move forward in a positive and respectful manner.
North Village Community Club remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship, accountability, and integrity both on and off the field.”
