Adam Hall played a key role as his Nashville teammates bounced back from their extra-innings defeat the previous night to secure a 4-1 victory over the Norfolk Tides on Thursday at First Horizon Park, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.
The game saw a significant moment with Aaron Civale making his first rehab start for Nashville, his first appearance since his season debut with the Brewers back on March 30th. The right-hander pitched four scoreless innings, setting a strong foundation for the Sounds' victory. The Nashville offence provided all the run support they would need in a decisive second inning.
Hall contributed to the win, going 1 for 3 from the plate and scoring a run in the pivotal second inning. With two outs and a runner on second, Hall drew a walk. The very next batter, Jared Oliva, then hit a line drive triple to right field, scoring Freddy Zamora. Hall followed him home to score Nashville's second run of the inning. Oliva himself then crossed the plate on a throwing error by Norfolk second baseman Luis Vázquez, giving the Sounds a 3-0 lead.
Logan Henderson, pitching in relief on what would have been his usual start day, delivered a solid four innings, allowing four hits and striking out five without issuing a walk. The only blemish on Nashville's pitching performance was a solo home run conceded by Henderson in the top of the eighth, ending the shutout bid. Craig Yoho made his return to action for Nashville and closed out the game with a hitless ninth inning, picking up his second save of the year with a lone strikeout.
