Sprinters Miles Outerbridge and Arima Turner represented Montverde Academy at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 2A Region 2 Track Meet, with Outerbridge delivering a standout performance.
Outerbridge demonstrated his speed and consistency in the boys' varsity sprints. In the fiercely contested 100m Dash, he clocked an impressive time of 10.65 seconds to secure second place. He then followed this up with another strong showing in the Boys' Varsity 200m Dash, once again finishing in second position with a time of 21.44 seconds. Outerbridge's double silver medal haul highlights his talent and potential on the track.
Meanwhile, Turner also competed in the girls' sprint events. In the highly competitive 100m Dash, she finished in 7th place with a time of 12.48 seconds. Turner also took to the blocks for the 200m Dash, finishing in 12th position with a time of 26.77 seconds. While not among the medals, Turner's participation in the regional meet provides valuable experience at a high level of competition.
