Asia-Leigh Hollis and her Wheaton College (Mass.) Women's Tennis teammates faced a tough challenge on the road, falling to a 6-1 defeat against host Smith College in New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action.
The match took place at the Indoor Track and Tennis Complex in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Hollis teamed up with her sophomore teammate Haraj-Sai in the number two doubles match. However, they faced a strong Smith College pairing in sophomore Ayla Hauser and first-year Natazya Simunyola, who secured a 6-2 victory.
In the singles competition, Hollis took to the court for the fourth singles match against Smith College's Tabitha Bastress. Unfortunately for the Wheaton sophomore, Bastress proved too strong on the day, delivering a decisive 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Despite the efforts of Hollis and her teammates, Smith College proved dominant across the board, securing a comfortable 6-1 win in the conference match-up.
