The 52nd CARIFTA Games continued to unfold at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad, with Bermuda's young track and field athletes returning to the track in the Under-17 and Under-20 age categories, aiming to progress through the preliminary rounds.

The evening session of the 52nd CARIFTA Games on Sunday saw further action for Bermuda's young athletes at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad, with the Under 20 Boys 4x100 Meter Relay team securing a spot in the final.

The quartet of Norre Robinson, Kyah Richardson, Preston Ephraim III, and Miles Outerbridge took to the track for Heat 2 of the Under 20 Boys 4x100 Meter Relay preliminaries. Their performance saw them finish third in their heat, clocking a time that placed them sixth overall, comfortably advancing them to the final of the event.

In the Under 17 Girls 800 Meter Run preliminaries, Amaris Munya ran a well-judged race in Heat 3. Her time of 2 minutes 20.12 seconds was enough to secure her third place in the heat and seventh overall, earning her a place in the final of the 800m.

Surii Russell also progressed to the final of the Under 17 Boys 800 Meter Run. Competing in Heat 1 of the preliminaries, Russell finished second, recording the fourth-fastest qualifying time and raising Bermuda's hopes in this event.

Riana Robinson represented Bermuda in the Girls 3000 Meter Run Open. She completed the gruelling event in 10th place with a time of 11 minutes 26.76 seconds. In the Under 17 Boys 3000 Meter Run, Cameron Adkins narrowly missed out on his second medal of the Games, finishing in fourth place with a time of 9 minutes 23.01 seconds. Sanchez Smith also competed in the same event, finishing sixth in a time of 10 minutes 7.59 seconds.

The evening's track action culminated with the final of the Under 20 Boys 4x100 Meter Relay. The Bermuda team of Norre Robinson, Kyah Richardson, Preston Ephraim III, and Miles Outerbridge returned to the track, finishing the final in sixth place with a time of 42.02 seconds.

Earlier in the Day, in the Under 17 Girls 200 Meter Dash preliminaries, two Bermudian athletes took to the blocks in separate heats. Lashee Jones competed in Heat 2, finishing fourth with a time of 25.41 seconds. Her performance placed her 12th overall, just outside the qualification spots for the final. Amara Samuels ran in Heat 3, crossing the line in fifth place with a time of 25.82 seconds, placing her 15th overall.

Zydon Lightbourne-Furbert represented Bermuda in Heat 1 of the Under 17 Boys 200 Meter Dash. He finished fourth in his heat with a time of 22.46 seconds, which placed him 14th overall, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

However, there was positive news for Bermuda in the Under 20 Boys 200 Meter Dash. Miles Outerbridge produced a strong run in Heat 2, clocking a winning time of 21.08 seconds. This impressive performance secured his spot in the final with the second-fastest qualifying time, raising hopes for a potential medal for Bermuda in this event.

As the CARIFTA Games continue, Bermuda will be looking to Miles Outerbridge to carry their medal hopes in the Under 20 Boys 200 Meter Dash final.
