The Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) announced the selection of four outstanding golfers who will represent Bermuda at the esteemed North & South Amateur Championships, held at the historic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina this summer.
Leading the group are Kenny Leseur, the 2025 Men’s Bermuda Match Play Champion, and Tracy Burgess, the 2025 Women’s Bermuda Match Play Champion. Their hard-fought victories at this year’s National Match Play tournament secured their automatic qualification into one of the most prestigious amateur championships in the United States.
In addition, through BGA Committee nominations, rising junior stars Oliver Betschart and Sienna Mosquera have also earned spots. Both have demonstrated commitment to the game of golf, discipline, and competitive results at both local and international levels.
“The North-South Championship is one of the oldest and most prestigious events in the world of amateur and junior golf, and has served as a proving ground for many of the game’s future professionals.
Bermuda Golf has a history with Pinehurst and the North-South, with our own Michael Sims winning the Men’s Amateur event in 2001,” said BGA President Craig Brown.
Brown concluded, “The BGA Committee has put in tremendous work to open this pathway and create international opportunities for our players to compete on such a stage, and we have every confidence in Kenny, Tracy, Oliver, and Sienna to represent Bermuda with pride and excellence. We hope these opportunities will inspire more golfers and juniors to compete to take advantage of these pathways and represent Bermuda Golf in the future.”
