Each athlete secured a spot on the podium in every event they contested.
Outerbridge's Sprint Success
Miles Outerbridge displayed his speed in the Boys' 100 Meter Dash, winning the event with a time of 10.87 seconds. This time was just shy of the Bermuda Junior Record of 10.54 seconds, highlighting Outerbridge's exceptional speed.
Outerbridge continued his success by winning the Boys' 200 Meter Dash, clocking a time of 22.11 seconds.
Turner's Consistent Podium Finishes
Arima Turner showcased her versatility, securing third-place finishes in both the sprint events. She finished third in the Girls' 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.47 seconds and also took third in the Girls' 200 Meter Dash, clocking 25.86 seconds.
Dickinson's Strong 400m Performance
Ellise Dickinson demonstrated her strength in the longer sprint, finishing third in the Girls' 400 Meter Dash with a time of 58.66 seconds.
Relay Victories for Montverde Academy
The Montverde Academy athletes also played crucial roles in their relay teams' success.
Outerbridge ran the second leg for the Montverde Academy Boys' 4x400 Relay team, which won the event with a time of 3:31.87.
Dickinson led off, and Turner ran the second leg for the Montverde Academy Girls' 4x400 Meters Relay team, contributing to their victory in a time of 3:57.39.
The Citrus League HS Championship proved to be a successful meet for the Montverde Academy athletes. Outerbridge's near-record performance and double wins, combined with Turner and Dickinson's consistent podium finishes, demonstrated the strength and talent of the Montverde Academy Track and Field program.
