Cameron Basden and his Barry University Men's Track & Field teammates displayed a strong showing at the St. Thomas University Outdoor Meet, with Basden making notable contributions in both sprint and field events.
Basden showcased his versatility by competing in the Men's 100 Meters and the Men's Long Jump recording Personal Best in both events.
In the Men's 100 Meters, Basden demonstrated his speed, clocking a time of 11.14 seconds and finishing in 13th place.
However, Basden's most impressive performance came in the Men's Long Jump. He secured a strong 2nd place finish with a top leap of 6.90 meters, which is equivalent to 22 feet 7.75 inches. This jump, achieved on his fourth attempt, highlighted his athleticism and technical skill in the event.
Basden's second-place finish in the Long Jump is a significant achievement, showcasing his ability to compete at a high level in field events. His overall performance at the St. Thomas University Outdoor Meet and Personal Bests contributed to Barry University's strong showing.
