Wheaton College (Mass.) Women's Tennis team, featuring Asia Hollis, suffered a 7-0 defeat to host Springfield College in New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action at the Springfield College Field House.
The Lyons faced a strong challenge from Springfield College, who secured a clean sweep in the conference matchup.
In the doubles competition, sophomores Asia Hollis and Laila Haraj-Sai played at number two doubles for Wheaton College. However, they were defeated by Springfield graduate student Gabby Heaney-Secord and junior Alysa Elliott, with a score of 6-3.
Hollis did not participate in the singles matches.
The result represents a tough loss for Wheaton College in NEWMAC play.
