Za'Kayza Parsons and her University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field teammates began their outdoor season at the Towson Invitational. Parsons made a strong start to her outdoor campaign, securing top ten finishes in both the Women's 100m and 200m.
Parsons showcased her sprinting ability, demonstrating her consistency across both events.
In the Women’s 200m Preliminaries, Parsons finished 10th overall, clocking a time of 25.49 seconds. This result placed her among the top performers in the event, highlighting her early-season form.
Parsons also competed in the Women’s 100m Preliminaries. She crossed the line in 9th place, recording a time of 12.29 seconds. This performance was just shy of qualifying for the final, but it still represents a strong showing in a competitive field.
The Towson Invitational provided a valuable opportunity for Parsons and her UMBC teammates to begin their outdoor season. Parsons's top ten finishes in both the 100m and 200m are positive indicators of her progress and potential for the season ahead. Her performances at this meet will serve as a good platform for her development.
