St. David's Cricket Club has announced a unique Youth Cricket & Golf Camp, offering youngsters aged 8-14 the chance to experience two popular sports during the upcoming school break.
The week-long camp, running from March 31st to April 4th, will provide a balanced programme, combining cricket skills development with an introduction to golf.
Organizer OJ Pitcher explained the camp's structure, saying, "Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be at the club doing cricket, while Tuesday and Thursday we will be at Ocean View for golf."
The initiative aims to rekindle interest in cricket among the younger generation while also introducing them to the sport of golf. Pitcher expressed his hopes, stating, "I am hoping to get that interest back with the younger generation when it comes to cricket, and then also introduce them to golf."
The camp offers a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their sporting skills, learn new disciplines, and enjoy a fun-filled week of activities. The combination of cricket and golf provides a diverse sporting experience, catering to a range of interests.
St. David's Cricket Club, a cornerstone of the local community, is committed to nurturing young talent and promoting sports participation. This camp is a testament to their dedication to fostering a love of sports among the next generation.
